Product Description

All of our candles are handmade. We reuse local wine bottles, rather than having them end up in a local land-fill. Soy wax is used for the candles, which is not only environmentally friendly, but also burns cleaner.

Handmade

At Re-Corked Candles we start with recycled wine bottle, which we carefully cut and polish for a safe edge. Once the bottle is prepared, our candlemakers hand mix soy wax with the perfect blend of fragrances, prepare the wax covered cotton wick, and meticulously pour the candle. The wick is scissor-trimmed after curing and the candle is ready to be delivered to our discriminating customers!
Recycled

Our staff has established relationships with restaurants, bars, and other local businesses to reclaim wine bottles that would otherwise wind up in landfills or going through energy-intensive recycling efforts. By removing these items from the waste stream for immediate reuse with minimal physical alteration, we are not so much giving the items a second life as extending their first life!
Soy Wax

Each Re-Corked Candle is hand-filled with 100% Organic Soy Wax that has been married with the freshest and most appealing of scents. Soy wax has many traits that make it superior to traditional paraffin wax including decreased smoke, no soot, a superior 'scent throw', and a slower burn (resulting in a longer life). In addition, our soy wax is sourced from companies using only soy products grown by American farmers.
